Red Nose Day USA Wishes To End Poverty, Starting With Children

In 5 February 1988, Comic Relief debuted “Red Nose Day” in the United Kingdom with intention of using entertainment to raise money and encourage participation. The most remarkable symbol of comic relief (Red Nose Day USA) is the plastic/foam red nose. Which is given in the supermarket and charity shops as oxfam in exchange for a charity donation. Another reason is to possibly to make others laugh and to motivate them to give generously.

The goal of Red Nose Day is to use comedy and entertainment to inspire the nation to give generously. The money donated by Red Nose Day is managed by comic relief with the goal. Aim is to help people living tough lives across the UK and Africa to find lives easier. Comic relief itself is a major charity based in the UK which main purpose is to create a just world that is free of poverty. The money donated on that day is spent in the best possible way to tackle the causes of poverty and social injustice.

The Bill and Melinda gates foundation are also involved with this great campaign of the Red Nose Day. The just concluded Red Nose Day campaign on 24 May, 2018 gave some vivid points, of the established campaign.

Red Nose Day USA wishes to end poverty, starting with children. This will end the cycle of poverty in communities by giving children the needed resources and opportunities to achieve more and improve their lives. The funds raised by campaigns such as Red Nose Day USA provide hope for the poor.

“We continue to be inspired by the generosity of Americans, celebrities and corporate partners who have rallied behind this amazing cause,” said Telegdy Paul, President of Alternative and Reality Group here at NBC Entertainment in a Red Nose Day press release. “We look forward to keeping the momentum going and make a difference in the lives of children who need it the most.”
